October 1, 2025Dear Parents/Guardians:The SY25-26 Impact Aid Survey (Pink sheet for Grades Pk-8 & White for 9-12) has been sent home with your child today. Impact Aid is a significant and important source of education funding to the Town of Ledyard. In 2025, our community qualified for a little over $1.2 million in Federal funding through the Impact Aid Grant. The survey consists of three sections: Section I - pre populated student information, Section II - Active Duty parent/guardian Only to fill out;Section III - Civilian Employment parent/guardian to fill out. It is extremely important that everyone completes the survey; we are required to collect one survey per student. Please return your completed survey no later than Tuesday, October 7th. The purpose of this Federal grant program is to alleviate the tax burden on communities such as Ledyard, for revenue lost on federal tax-exempt properties in their jurisdiction. These properties and employers include the US Navy, the US Coast Guard Academy, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, the Mohegan Tribe, Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Resort Casinos. Almost 800 Ledyard Public School students are in these categories because they live on, or their parents work on federally recognized properties. We all benefit from participation in this vital Federal program. Thank you for your cooperation in securing this funding for our community by submitting your form. Sincerely,Jason S HartlingSuperintendent of Schools

Thank you, Jeff, for all of your hard work! Jeff has been a part of our Maintenance team for four years. Jeff is responsible for our grounds. He takes care of the fields, playgrounds, flower beds, and so much more.

We've updated the app to include food service/menus for each of our schools. Click on more, select food services, and it will take you to the menu of the day for that school.
