2026-2027 Kindergarten Enrollment Announcement

Children must attain the age of 5 on or before September 1, 2026 to be automatically eligible for kindergarten in Connecticut Public Schools.

If your child does not meet the age requirement, and you are interested in learning more about the Early Entrance Waiver, please see the information below. 

There is a provision in the law that allows parents/guardians to seek a waiver for children who do not meet the new age requirement. If your child does not meet the age requirement, you may wish to apply for a waiver. Click HERE to learn more about the waiver process.
