All spectators who attend lacrosse, baseball, softball or track events at Ledyard High School and find the back parking lot full are urged to please park in the front of the school building. There is no parking allowed on the grass and no parking on Greystone Court.

Morning Announcements - 5/1/12 - A Day 

Graduation Announcements
The senior class will be selling graduation announcements during lunch beginning tomorrow.  They are $1.75 each and a great way to announce to your relatives about your graduation.  See Mrs. O’Brien, Mrs. O’Farrell or Mrs. DelGrosso in the main office for more details.  These are not tickets to the graduation ceremony, only an announcement. 

JUNIORS – Prom tickets will go on sale starting Monday, April 30.  Prom is on Saturday, May 12th at Ocean Beach Port and Starboard.  Tickets are $60 each.  Tickets will be sold for FOUR DAYS ONLY during lunch and in the Career Center starting Monday, April 30 – Thursday, May 3.  Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.  Don’t miss out – your Junior Prom only comes once in your life!!  Junior Advisory has planned a great prom this year – a good time will be had by all!!!

Ledyard Idol
Who will be the next Ledyard Idol?  Want to prove you’re the best singer at LHS?  Then sign up and audition to earn a spot to sing your heart out for Ledyard Idol.  Sign up in the main office by Friday, May 4th.  Auditions will be after school on May 7th & 8th.  Ledyard Idol is sponsored by the LHS Key Club's Sing Your Heart Out for the American Heart Association.  All Ledyard Idol contestants will perform on May 18th at 7pm in the auditorium.  Admission will be $3 for students and $5 for adults.  All proceeds will go towards the American Heart Association.

Girls Cross Country
There will be a meeting for all girls’ who wish to join the Cross Country team this fall during Activity Period on May 2nd in room 203.

Attention Junior and Senior Students
Those students wishing to bring an out of school guest to the prom must have a prom guest permission slip approved by the APO prior to ticket purchase.  These slips are available in the main office, the APO, and on the school’s website.  Any questions please see Mr. Turner or Mr. Winters.

Seniors:
    The senior class trip is Friday, May 25th. The trip is to Block Island. We will depart LHS at 7:30 a.m. and return around 5:30 p.m. This is NOT a CAPT exempt absence. The cost of the trip is $27 which includes the bus and ferry ride. Sign up for the trip will run from Monday, April 30th through Friday, May 4th during both lunches in the cafe. A signed permission slip will be required to attend and available at the ticket table.
    Senior Prom is Saturday, May 26th at the Mystic Marriott. Tickets for prom will be on sale during both lunches Monday, May 7th - Friday, May 18th. Tickets are $55 per person.

Students traveling to France
This is a friendly reminder that the final payment is due on May 1.  In addition, on May 2, during Activity Period, there will be a meeting in room 206. Please try to be there.  Our departure date is fast approaching. :)

ATTENTION - Students who are interested in taking the ACT’s on June 9th need to register at actstudent.org by May 4, 2012.  Ledyard High School will be a test site for this date.
