The Career Center at Ledyard High School is proud to offer valuable tools and opportunities for students to develop realistic career goals and objectives. Students who utilize these fundamentals of career development are able to make educated decisions about their future; saving time, money and even frustration.

'Do What You Are' is a unique Internet service that employs the use of Personality Type ­ the result of Swiss Psychologists Carl Jung, Katherine Briggs, and Isabel Briggs Myers. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is scientifically proven to be effective by identifying the innate way people naturally see the world and make decisions ­ a set of basic drives and motivations that remain constant throughout a person’s life.

Learning about their Personality Type provides students with accurate and invaluable insights about themselves and their career-related needs. This enables them to make the most informed and satisfying college and career decisions.

Ledyard High School students are invited to conduct this developmentally appropriate assessment while visiting the Career Center, or may do so from home or any computer with Internet access. A copy of the results is automatically forwarded to their Guidance Counselor.
