I. Icebreaker

• Three-person tag

• Silent grouping (animal groups)

• Grouping by common interest (birth place, favorite food, music, sports etc.

II. Review of Last Workshop

III. Diversity/Conflict Resolution Dialogue:  Henry Louis Controversy

• Small group discussion - sharing experiences where students have been treated in an unfair way.

• Conflict resolution strategies.

IV. School Action Plans

The participants separated into two groups by school. Each school discussed plans to support the mission and goals of More Than Words. 

The group was dismissed at 1:15 p.m. The Ledyard bus drove the New London students to New London High School and then continued to LHS.

 

Next workshop will be held on December 10.
